Retired

So, I have now been retired for 2 weeks now and I have to say that I have been loving it! I loved my job and the people that I worked with, but I have been loving every second of officially being a stay at home wife and soon to be mom. It is so nice to be able to have a nice dinner ready by when Peter gets home at 5:30. When I was working it was harder to get motivated to make a nice meal during the week because we were both so tired and when I would make a nice dinner it wouldn't be ready until about 7:30 or 8ish. I know that Peter really likes me being home to be able to get chores done around the house so that he doesn't have to do anything over the weekend and having a nice dinner ready earlier. I also have been organizing my house a bunch hopefully after this week I will have the baby's room all done with. I will take pictures when it is all done and post them. Well, I don't really have much else to write except that I hope you all have a fabulous week!

IT'S SNOWING OUTSIDE!!!

Other than still being sick and feeling awful it has been such a wonderful day!  It rain or snowed the entire day!  I just have loved every second of it!  When Peter and I were in Utah for Thanksgiving I was super sad that it never snowed.  Who knew that I would get in Vegas?!  I seriously couldn't believe that it was snowing and for so long!

OH CHRISTMAS TREE!!!

This past weekend I Peter and I put up our tree! Unfortunately it is artificial, but I am way too lazy to put lights on a real tree and get pricked while doing it.  My parents have always had a beautiful, real tree that smells amazing, but boy did we know when dad was putting on the lights! It is just so much easier having an artificial tree...I think.  Well, here are some pictures of some of our decorations.  I wanted lights on our house, but Peter refuses...so maybe next year I will have pictures of the outside of our house....

Next to our tree we have a Big D dump truck track set

Thanksgiving fun!

I know that I am a bit late blogging about my trip to Utah for Thanksgiving, but oh well.  I am now.  I had such a fun time!  We had family dinner over at my aunt Jan's house that was delicious! My favorites are mashed potatoes with gravy and dark turkey.   My dad made home made apple pie that was to die for!  It was so delicious that I hid pretty much half of one of the pies in a basket on top of the fridge and ate it for 3 days after.  It was so good.  I felt bad for like a second hiding it, but it is very rare to have my dad make these delicious pies and if anyone else would have thought to hide some they could have had more too.  Anyways, after dinner Jill, Molly, and I made some awesome gingerbread houses.  Mine looks like a 3 year old did it, but oh well.  We had a good time!
My mom, grandma Lund, Jill, Molly, and I went to the mall on Black Friday and boy was that an experience!  As we were waiting for a sweet parking spot, this crazy lady decided that she wanted the spot that we were clearly waiting for for like 4 minutes.  My grandma was driving and started to go in when the lady went it too and hit us!  She was nuts!  She then backed up and ran into us again!  It was amazing!  My grandma backed up and the lady went into the spot.  The crazy lady gave my g her info and as we were waiting for the popo she said she was going to go shopping and she left.  You could clearly see that this wasn't the first accident this lady has had.  She had a bunch of scrapes on her Volvo. After that we went to Cheesecake Factory and shopping.  I got some way cute baby clothes and clothes for Peter at Gap.  They had some wicked deals!  I was pleasantly surprised at how not busy it was.  I mean, it was busy, but not nearly what I was expecting.  We spent a couple hours there and left.  I had so much fun spending time with Grandma Lund, mom, Jilly, and Molly!  I always do!
On Saturday we went to see the movie Four Christmases.  I had heard mixed feelings about it, but I really liked it.  I thought it wasn't appropriate for kids, but for me I loved it! On Sunday, Peter and I slept in and went back home to Vegas.
The only thing that I wish would have been different about Thanksgiving is that I wish it would have snowed.  There was no snow at all!  I was super sad.  I love the Vegas heat, but I do love to see the changes in seasons in Utah.

RAIN!

I love the rain! I love the smell....the noise....everything about it! I just love listening to it hit our roof! It rained all night last night and is still raining this morning! I can't even being to tell you how much I have missed it! It hasn't rained like this in forever! It made me think about calling in sick this morning just so that I could snuggle up in my bed, open the window and just listen to it pour. Unfortunatly I didn't call in sick, but I still was nice snuggling up this morning and listnening to it for a few minutes. For the past couple nights I haven't been able to sleep very well and last night it was just so soothing to listen to the pitter patter on our roof. I still didn't sleep well, but it was so much more enjoyable to listen to and not the loud bark of the dog next door. Have a fabulous day!

Happy Thanksgiving!
